“Medusa has always been a tragic character; it doesn’t matter which version of the myth you encounter. This character has always been interesting for me for her archetypal nature based on Jung’s model of the psyche and the relationship medusa has to our evolutionary behavior in relation to snakes. In contemporary times, these archetypes are still prevalent throughout our society but can be reimagined and reinterpreted based on nuance context. Not becoming the entire personality but rather being a complementary element of the entirety of the psyche of the individual. We all contain a monster inside of us and it is only ours to understand and deal with it.”
